Hi all,

I thought it would be good to discuss methods on how to create a niche within a saturated market. I think this is what alot of Internet/Affiliate Marketers try to achieve.

Why is that you could market and sell the hell out of a product or service pushing brown tooth brushes on the Internet, but then you try those same techniques with a legit business service like legal aids it seems as if the market is drenched...? WHEN IN REALITY its backwards…My conclusion is that there is a catch… For example - Everyone uses a toothbrush and can grab it anywhere and everywhere BUT...they just want that brown one, which makes the web that perfect resource to get that brown toothbrush and is why these strange niche markets like party supplies and rare services are so successful in my eyes.…try selling a brown tooth brush on the street over legal services….would be pointless…but then develop a method to sell colored toothbrushes over the net with some SEO tweaks and it just works.

My group launched a affiliate site selling party supplies and we found that it was almost impossible to get the traffic needed for the site to convert sales successfully. We then revamped the site and organized all products into "themes" making it a theme party shop and boom night and day difference!

Does anyone have any good methods to share regarding marketing on the web and standing out when dealing with a saturated market?

You have to add a twist or specific focus to your niche. Generally, if a market is saturated it is because there is a huge customer base for it. So, just specify further. Find a "sub-niche," so to speak.

Of course, the goal in niche marketing is to find an underdeveloped niche, not a saturated one.

But if you go too 'sub-niche' you will find there is too little of a market to make it worth while! It's a delicate balancing act.

But like the days of old, even today people are looking for quality, price and customer satisfaction. If you can deliver on that you can make your way in any niche market.

You know iv noticed that, very true. I wish that there was a sure fire method to rock out the most simple of affiliate sites. Sometimes a well designed landing page can make great monthly revenue if the conversion process is simple, but you have to find that perfect way to stand out and show it in a way that is "in need" but accessible in the marketing aspect.

If only there was a simple formula that we could follow to create those niche areas. NEVER THE CASE!
