Here is something interesting that I didn't know and you might not either, so I'll pass it on.
Imagine you want a really cool domain name like jeans.XXX but it's only available in the Brazilian extension .com.br
As we know Google will give preference to your new site in Brazil over the USA. Probably not what you want. BUT you can instruct the Google NOT to give that preference and treat the .com.br domain just like a .com Go to
Google webmaster tools ->Site configuration ->
settings -> Geographic target
"Country-specific domains, such as .ie or .fr, are already associated with a country or region. If you don't want your site associated with any location, select Unlisted." :lala:
