Low x,xxx range, if you haven't already put it on Sedo.com and see what happens

Thanks

Cheers! Guys!

Have to disagree with Stuart though... There IS value in any extension, especially keywords. Heck, I sold fukk.me for $x,xxx just last year...and that's not even a real word!!!

Good luck selling it.

Cosmetics me?
Bad english.

Value has nothing to do with past sales.

Drop it and move on.

Hmmm... bad english? How? It's one of the greatest keywords out there in my opinion. Up there with car, insurance, tools etc...

Cosmetics me ... bad english. Does that mean that Cosmetics com is bad english too? lol

Cosmetics -

Global Monthly Searches - 7,480,000

Local Monthly Searches - 301,000

Those are good numbers!!! :kickass:

Maybe I'm wrong, or missing something... That's why I posted the question... please explain. PS. I realise that it is not nearly as sweet as Cosmetics com or net .... but I do know it still has great value... please don't bring the com\net thing into this... we already know.

Cheers!

Very true I agree it does not make sense. HOWEVER I must say dot me names are kind of taking off. Couple days ago Consulte dot me (consult me) in Spanish was sold for 6000. I am seeing many Brazilians whom speak Portuguese and many Spanish nationalities purchasing dot me domain names. So yes if it were a better name it would cost lots of money. I say cosmetic dot me would appraise more than cosmetics. Also remember with the new tlds hitting the markets within the next few years domain names MUST make sense.

And look at those searches.

Do you think you can develop a site that would even be in the first 5 pages of google?

From Avon to Ulta, every known cosmetic company is there.

True.
.me domains and others may take off, there may be a lot of buyers, but only because the good .com domains are taken.

I really doubt, someone looking for cosmetics, would say, think I will see what cosmetics.me sells.

It's worth a lot of money to an end user. Google I don't think ranks .me's though so it would strictly have to be for someone who wants a private business

:) I like your posts I really do, especially cynical ones ;)

Actually I appraise domains the way I look at them.

Would I want that domain?
Would I reg that domain?
Would I buy that domain?

Sound good?
Look good?
(hey somewhere is a site that has good domains that are also bad domains, depending on how you look at them. Take this domain: PenIsland.com)

And if I get a domain, can I resell it quick?
I don't hold onto domains for very long.
Except for my blogs and sites (4 total).

"Cosmetics" is a great commercial keyword, but .ME does far better with verbs than nouns.

Low $X,XXX to an interested buyer is realistic.

The net sold for 18 and 25k, the .us for 5k and the info for 8500. The me sold for $7xx in the past (probably closer to the time when dot me was the new kid on the block)

Dosent hack well in my opinion

Low xxxx could happen but there probably alot of siting on the shelf time on this baby waiting until you get tired and offer it up on a forum or place it on some big "me" domain sale like others before you. Goodluck

I would concur that this analysis with perhaps changing the word "no" to "very little". I would grace delete this if possible and avoid the extension altogether.

there is some value because it is one word and highly commercial keyword, but you may have to hold it a while to receive some offers for it and find out what its value really is
