I thought this was a real cool article. An interesting new way of monetizing domains! Really interesting idea. I might try it with a few domains LOL. Check it out then post your thoughts! I like the concept. Buy domains, develop, get actual business then just broker the business out to cheaper companies LOL How come i didn't think of that! Is is so simple.

Oh and just incase you are interested. The EARTHQUAKE WAS CRAZY. I am sure you saw it on the news. I just got power back today! LOL The funny thing is I wait for oppertunies like this to register domains, anytime big news happens you know. One problem, I knew about the earthquake before anyone and could have registered related names faster than anyone in the world, except I had no electricity.

Glad to hear you are ok! I heard it was a 6.6 and you'll have many more aftershocks! Take care!

I think Harpo is in Hawaii, hope he's ok too!

Nice read...domainers here are doing a similar thing on a smaller scale by driving traffic to their sites, and then selling the domain/site. Actually using a site to produce business is the next step up.

Glad you got power back so quickly, I remember during Hurricane Charley we were without power for 2 weeks. We got it back for 2 weeks then another Hurricane came through - another 10 days without power. We seem to have gotten off lightly this year (fingers crossed), but it really messes with your internet businesses when you don't have net access. The local Panera with their free wireless connection sure was popular that week.

As for the article itself, very good read, and another reason why other TLDs/CCTLDs still have value - if you plan to develop a site and get good SEO/marketing on it, extension is far less important.

Those asbestos guys are really using PR to boost the asbestos service. Seems that they're always the story they use as far as an actual domain service.

thanks for sharing. Is it legal to pretend to be a business?

You are not pretending to be a business, you are a business. It is ok to broker all sorts of things. Im sure you have to get GE tax, etc. Still you are providing a service.

Good share Domainacrobat. It's always good to see those who actually "use" a domain other than revenue. That's precisely my plan with a .biz domain I own.

Blindcleaning.Biz, hopefully this article will be motivation (kick in the butt) I need to get up, get out, and do something. Thanks again bro.
