Content question

this might be more appropriate for the newbie section ... but ... i'm trying to understand how much good content is worth to search engines

if i have 2 domains

1 as a single parking page

and the other with ten pages of focused content

would the content rich one end up with a higher position and with more links also ?

Depends on the search engine, and the nature of the content. Most of the time, I would guess that the content-rich page would win out, but at certain search engines, I have seen my parked pages come up as high as #1 for certain keywords.

content and incoming text links is the best way to go. If you have good content, people all over the 'Net will link to your site which will in turn further enhance it's rankings in the search engines.

Content is king... mostly because it gets you links and traffic.

But I have PR2 parked pages that are ranked higher for certain keywords than actual content sites on the same topic
