Contact Management, Newsletters script or service...

I'm looking for a script or service where people can sign up at my site or I add their email address to the control panel and they get emails/newsletters from me. It would have to do bulk mailing (at least a couple hundred starting and ability to expand). I also need it to have a link at the bottom where they can opt out of the emails automatically by clicking on the link. And of course I'd like the ability to add complete contact information (phone, address, etc...).

I need recommendations, whether it's free or paid, script or service. Thanks.

http://www.phplist.com/ Is this one any good? I might give this one a try. I kind of like the idea of hosting the script myself.

If you use phplist, make sure your hosting plan doesn't have any special terms regarding how much mail you can send in a given period of time - some of them do. Other than that, phplist is free and quite easy to set up and worth the effort if you only have one or two lists.

I use aweber. I don't love their interface, I never use their "form wizard" and have run into some annoying glitches in other functions, but behind the scenes it does its job well and is much more convenient than managing several installations of phplist. It also saves resources, since it runs on their servers not yours.

I really like aweber from what I've read on the site about it, I just hate paying monthly. I wish there was something I could pay once and be over with it.

I was looking at phplist's admin interface, and it looks like it would be a pain. I also plan on having several lists in the near future.

I have no problems with my host. I can pretty much do what I want and upgrade if needed.
