Hi,

I have recently modified a plugin called 'Community Submitted News' (http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/community-submitted-news/) for someone, to add an image upload to it - which uploads perfectly fine, and the whole plugin works 100% perfect still.. on Windows servers.

The Wordpress build and plugin was recently ported onto a Linux server and things have gone wrong. The upload button vanished (but has been fixed due to the include path changing for some reason??). The main issue however, is that when the form is submitted for this plugin, it is no longer returning a sucess message when it should, I am getting the jQuery ajaxError called, even though the information is being submitted and visible in the admin panel for it.

A further issue to this is that when the article is approved, the image is not displaying. The path to the image is 100% correct, and the image exists, but when you go to that URL it comes up with a Wordpress error page. However, the images in the directory that were defaults, work fine.

Is this some really odd issue? Or would this be caused all by some database issues (not looked at the databases yet as I am awaiting new details)

I am not an expert with WP, but this is all very odd looking.

Can anyone suggest any possible issues? this all works 100% ok on a Windows server running IIS.

Thanks

Is this a permissions issue? What are the permissions set on the images?

If you're used to Windows you can get surprising permissions issues in Linux at first.
