Concept Planes dot com

I've been in contact with some possible end users, but haven't heard back as of yet.

Any and all ideas/opinions/appraisals welcome.

Could be a cool site for viewing cool new planes futuristic,
New propulsion ideas examples etc... a message board to discuss such ideas and so forth.

I could see this site very benefical to kit-plane companies, as many kit-plane companies design one off concept planes.

Aviation is a huge hobby for many many people

Think of the number of toy aeroplanes sold every year, and the number of b-52 bomber pics circulating on the internet
then think of Concept Cars - another huge market

while not as big as Concept Cars, Concept Planes are pretty cool

you have a ready made market here

My suggestion would be to look at companies like Cirrus, located in Duluth, MN. www.cirrusdesign.com
They are specializing in small, private aircraft, are currently working hard on releasing a brandnew jet and are one of the most successful companies in this type of business. Once you have them on the radar, i'd look for their competition and see if there's potential interest. Now, the value of the domain: High...VERY high! Considering that Cirrus sells their future jet for $1 million and they had 250 orders from people across the world BEFORE the final design was even drafted... you get the picture. Next target, aside from the producers would be aircraft/AOPA/ALPA magazines, they're always looking for the next best thing - your domain IS the next best thing.

its very easy to see that the aviation industry runs on HUGE bucks
to Boeing or Airbus, 20k on a domain is peanuts

so i think you have a real winner on your hands
