Registration costs are $39 per annum.

I think its a great domain for any domainer with a high value keyword?

poker.vc sold for $1,650 and TV.vc sold for $2,000 so that should give you an idea about current upper limit for the very best .vc

there isn't a rarity factor with .vc yet and several goodish names are still available

also they just don't get much traffic on their own - I have several good LL.vc + a few reasonable one word .vc and the only traffic thus far is from curious visitiors on Sedo.

seo placement is likely to be the way to go as it is a good keyword but without it I feel you will struggle to make 2-3 x reg in the current .vc market :imho:

I bought both these names as I am a strong believer in good keywords whatever the extension is. This one is a good keyword and as cambkey is saying seo is on your side here. I appreciate it at high $$$, but think that the coming years domains like yours are likely to raise in value relatively more than for example two or three word .coms, so it might be worth it to see it as a kind of investment and keep it for a few years (or develop). Good luck. Computers.VC was mine and I would have gladly renewed it, but the .VC registry had no option for renewal and absolutely zero customer support.

I'll be avoiding that TLD from now on.

Yes, it was through Tucows and was an absolutely terrible experience for me. I had spent quite a bit on registrations of some nice terms, including computers.vc, and then had no way to renew them. What a scam! Its almost lawsuit-worthy.

Oh well. Maybe there's hope for the .vc TLD now that its changed hands.
