I tried to log into my CJ account today and kept getting the message that it has been deactivated, why would this happen??
is it a glitch or is this a known issue with them?

If you don't hit a revenue mark in 6 months they close your account.

I hate that about CJ. But, you can reapply, you just need to use a different email address.

Of course, I don't know your specific situation, so it could have been something else.

if thats the case this is really annoying, a warning email would have been good, I just launched a new site if I could access ebay somewhere else I'd not even bother
thanks

Me too. I signed up again just a couple of days ago just to test the ebay affiliate. I didn't have success with CJ prior, and wouldn't have signed up again if not for wanting to try out ebay.

I joined CJ a long time ago and ran it for a few months and made some dough, stopped using it for a few months went to log back in and account closed and my 20 something dollars gone, rejoined a while later ran it for a while and made some more dough and stopped using it for a month or 2 again and account closed and my money gone once again, so I have made money with them but if you stop to test other programs for a month or two good chance your account will be shut down and money taken, on the flipside I have a linkshare account with a few bucks in it that has been sitting idle for months and is not shut down and they didn't steal my cash yet, I just think it's kinda shady that they close an idle account and steal your money as some of us like to test different things and will come back to it and how much maintenance is it for them to leave an account alone for a month or 2 until I get back to using it, if you look at the bottom of my site you will see 2 domain aftermarkets missing buydomains and tdnam as they are both run through CJ and I'm not joining CJ ever again. :hehe:

I have a linkshare account too. I just don't like linkshare's system, it seems more complicated than it should be when you have multiple sites.

I think CJ's cutoff is $25.

yeah cj has better internet advertisers, wish linkshare would add more domain, hosting, type of partners, their minimum is $25 and I think I had like $23.97 or something stopped using it for a few months come back to start using it again and account closed and money gone, so make sure ya break the $25.00 mark to get paid before ya stop using them.

cool thanks never heard of them, but how does this work when you use ebay affiliate tools they ask for CJ or Mediaplex, so is auction ads an affiliate of them and taking a cut?

I had clickbank, made some money, but because of inactivity, it just deducts $1 every two weeks for inactivity, they steal your money as well.

joining back up with CJ hasnt really helped, they sent an email saying there is something wrong with ebay tracking and it "may affect your earnings" I have clicks with no impressions

I never made a dime with CJ.

When I first joined I put LOTS of links on MANY sites.

Never got a hit. (at least none that were reported at CJ)

About three months into this I wanted to explore some more opportunities.

ACCOUNT CLOSED

I have emailed these people at least a dozen times without so much as a courtesy response. I KNOW they got the emails.

My suggestion - if you see that your account has been closed - immediately disable links to CJ promoted products. Think about this - if there are clicks - where is the money?

You may also want to inform advertisers whose products you have been promoting. It may make CJ wake up to the facts of life and a potentially huge profit loss by treating their subscribers in this manner.

Just my opinion

CJ had had issues lately with Ebay tracking. I'm sure they will have it resolved soon.

Yep, me too. I was just getting ready to reappropriate one of my sites and I got the "Your account has been deactivated" message. No response to my inquiry to them.

Alrighty, I'll do it. Now I remember that I did have eBay search links installed at my AuctionJungle.com site. But I never did much with it and got very little traffic. It has probably been well over a year since I had even looked at it. I guess the lifesigns were imperceptable and CJ deemed the account as inactive.

Honestly, I was getting a little discouraged with trying to come up with good content and design. Having emailed CJ and also posted on DigitalPoint with inquiries about templates or content feeds, I did not find any satisfactory solutions. I'll reapply though and hopefully am a little better on my second go of it. Thanks.
