Hi,

about a year ago I had an idea of creating a website about my favorite writer John Grisham. Finally, after two domains and four totally different layouts I have finally managed to finish it (more-less).

So here it is:
John Grisham Online

All reviews, comments and suggestions are more than welcome. :)

A very nice, clean site. Easy on the eyes, and has a lot of info for the Grisham fan. I would gently "push" the sales nature of the site a bit more to try and get the Amazon $$$. You may also try to link out to eBay/half.com sales. Perhaps a simple forum would help to build your traffic? Also, probably not a bad idea to add some "all photographs property of their respective owners... blah blah blah" legal language to help cover your butt. Cheers!

Clean and simple. I love it. Great choice of colors. A Forum would be a great idea.

Thanks for the comments. :) I have added the copyright text and think I'll add a small discussion forum as soon as the site picks up some returning visitors.

Any more suggestions or what the site should have?

Excellent design. Something simple and clean can sometime excel better than sophistication. Bottom line, I like it!

Excellent. I would change those amazon links though. You can make them simply be book images with the proper links.

Use this format:

Code:
<form method="POST"

action="http://buybox.amazon.com/o/dt/assoc/handle-buy-box=B0009YDS10">

<input type="hidden" name="asin.B0009YDS10" value="1">

<input type="hidden" name="tag-value" value="YOUR AFFILIATE CODE"">

<input type="hidden" name="tag_value" value="YOUR AFFILIATE CODE">

<input type="image" name="submit.add-to-cart" value="Buy from Amazon.com" border="0" alt="ENTER THE BOOK TITLE" src="images/YOURIMAGE.jpg">

</form>

Make sure to change the asin number to the book number, YOUR AFFILIATE CODE, and upload the image to your own FTP and insert. This will give you direct

hehe...

btw..nice redesign. Consider adding margin:0 padding: 0 to the body css to get rid of that extra space on the top. And your layout would be improved with a background div that would add borders to you main div.

I like Grisham, and I like your site, I find it stylish. I'll read the extract from the Innocent Man and think of buying the book.

I'd like to thank you all for your comments so far. I have already implemented some of the suggestions while some are still in progress.

Also, I have a question about the site header. Do you prefer a rotating header image or one certain header (if so then which one)?

Thanks :)

I like it. I'm a total newbie when it comes to web design but this is exactly the kind of thing I aspire to. What I really like is that you have provided useful information on one of my favorite authors and haven't completely saturated your site with adsense.

Nice clean design. The day I produce as site this good will be a great day indeed.

Respect.

Matt.

Its a nice simple design, but I dont think the black background goes with the light content. Have a light-greyish-blue colour for the background.
Also, the banner dosnt look very professional (especially the text)
