Comments And Criticisms for a Gaming layout

Hey all,

I'm pretty new to designing layouts, as I am to most other aspects of web design and development - and i'm looking for a bit of feedback on my latest attempt.

I was really going for something different to the generic layouts out there - and and comments, criticism or pointers the pros can give me to improve my designing skills would be greatly appreciated

It's indeed looking nice. I'm also fed up with templates and stock themes, so I appreciate your work into making something unique. Code it now so that we can see the layout "in action"

Thanks to both of you for your feedback - for only a 4th attempt at layout design its very encouraging to get these sort of comments (although i'd take criticism just as positively as well )

As for coding, thats something that is most likely a long way off - as thats another area where i'm learning to ropes.

very very nice web design, i personaly dont like that logo, the color scheme would suggest that its a gaming site so thats a good thing, very cool man, hope to see more designs out of you soon.

This one has a more standard structure to it, but I think on the whole has a more sleek and mature look to it than the a-gaming one...

You should try to incorporate this into a mambo template and then use mambo as your backend. Its a neat CMS that you should be able to use well with your particular site.
