Hi guys,

I put ******** together in the last few months. All the work has been done by myself in my spare time (I am not a designer), so please take that in account :)

Make sure you check a thread as well. Example:

There is a lot more to check if you have minute or two.

I'll be happy for every review, positive or negative. Just keep it honest and constructive, so I can eventually improve it, or just remove it completely if it's so bad :/.

Thank you!

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Not exactly , visitors participate more on threads for their website exposure

this gives you interactions and they get some traffic and links

its like give and take policy :)

not everyone is a spammer ..

anyways it was just my suggestion ...

Looks more like Q&A site than a forum...

Thank you @nononsense123 !

Honestly, marketing old-fashioned forum is super hard in 2020, because social media and big established websites are stealing your potential users.

My bet is on the good domain, good reputation, high anti-spam standards, no bullshit (annoying pop-ups, allow notifications browser dialogs, scam-ish ads, selling e-books, courses, etc.)... Trying to answer as much questions as possible, to pay back for the time users spent registering and asking (creating) on the site.
However, I am 100% inbound about it, so the growth is very slow, could be much faster if leveraged outbound right. Still just a hobby project though.

Anyway, marketing efforts would differ depending on the niche. As mentioned in this thread many times already, SEO is one of the most competitive niches online, so it takes a lot to get somewhere. Could be easier with something else.

It looks very nice, actually.

you got a nice domain for the forum and the design is good as well

if you allow signatures and links on profile that will be even more good

Welcome to the controversy of what a forum should look like.

I am personally more of a fan of the traditional forum like you see here on Namepros with threaded discussions. The Q&A format does do better on mobile, so I think you can overcome some of the issues that accompany the Q&A style.

Overall, the site doesn't look bad. I think the brand aspect of the forum is a little weak. It's really clean - which is a great start - but it doesn't have anything that sticks out in my mind.

It's an excellent domain and I think you can recoup any investment (within reason) that you put into it. As an older school fan of forums myself, this particular topic is one that jives well with a forum over and above social media.

You can post thread either as a discussion or Q&A. If you choose Q&A, you'll be able to select best answer that solved your problem. Also, users may see that your thread has been posted as Q&A and if the icon is green it means the question has been answered (you have accepted answer) already.

From results of our poll:
- most visitors/people searching the web for information don't like to read through signatures
- most users want to have signatures to promote their webistes

I've implemented user scores (reputation) and rewards for posting, answering, upvoting, etc.
I don't really want to mess with signatures, but thank you for your honest suggestion. I appreciate you took a look at it and commented.

As a filler giving the domain content versus simply parking it is fine.

This forum namepros is Xenforo. Others are vbulletin. Even the free openware mybb would make a better forum than whatever you used.

Amazing name and I dig the minimalist design. What software/theme did you use?

Looks great and I also like the domain name.

Site looks nice but you should use a different more widely accepted forum software.

Update: deployed early update to the site today. This is major rewrite to the project, with full redesign and a lot of added functions. Not finished yet, but it's coming in a week or two. Meantime, you can post your feedback :)

My post as a test: https://seoforum.com/thread/2018-major-seoforum-rewrite

@xynames Thanks, but I don't like Xenforo too much

@Makise can't reveal the price

@Amar D Thanks, but I am working on my own forum

@asset.domains Thank you, I appreciate it!

@DotComWriters Thanks mate. I wrote it from scratch, so it's nothing publicly available.

@CrazyTech Thank you for your opinion. I totally understand what you're talking about, and I was working on that. The redesign is now out and I think it works a little bit better, talking about the brand aspect. What do you think?

@lock Thank you!

@Goku Maybe yes, maybe not. It's my hobby project, so I try to build it myself. The good thing is, I have full control over the codebase, so I can build whatever feature I want.

@dojo Thank you. The design is now gone, so I hope you'll like current one too :)

@HMS Naveen Nope it's not :) Thank you.

@lock Sorry you hate it, but I've deployed update earlier today. Is it better?

@nameaura Thank you and nope, not flarum :)

1st of all GREAT domain!

But I don't like forums in that format. I like forums in the traditional format like namepros. Scripts like Simple Machines, Vbulletin, phpBB, etc. Forums like yours look like blog comment sections, which I have always hated to read. I would switch to a traditional forum script, but that's just my personal preference.

Also, your text is a little too small. Also, don't use medium or light gray text. Note everyone has perfect eyesight. Use black or almost black text. Too many websites today use light text on light backgrounds. Too hard to read. Design with users in mind, not just looks. Users are more important.

Great domain and forum.

I don't see why you aren't using an already established forum platform like xenforo, etc.. this will give you time to focus on content and managing the community rather than developing the forum from scratch.
