Oh.. I feel slightly conned.. Thought a new tld had come out then!

Ermm, no offense but I can't see a value here. When you state the name verbally there will, obviously, be some confusion.

Sorry but I agree.
With a domain like cats.com, you could say it to anyone without confusion: cats dot com. With yours, it's trickier: dot (the word dot) swiss dot (real dot) com.

Even if there were a dot swiss TLD I doubt it would be a huge market.

I think the best, and perhaps the only thing to do, is to take a look to see what (if anything) is happening with dotamerica, dotcanada, etc.. you know, the more 'obvious' names of this ilk, and if they are developed and appear to be doing good business then there may be room to re-consider...

thanks everyone, adding rep to you. as for your comment, symboldomain, I checked dotAmerica.com, dotCanada.com - they are live web-hosting sites (since 2002 according to info on them), dotAsia.com redirects to asiaregistry.com, dotWorld.com is used by a UK company...that's what i know from my little research of dotGEOs

anyone else to share opinion?

Well, it is more like dotAmerican.com or dotCanadian.com. Swiss is not a GEO itself.

adj.

Of or relating to Switzerland or its people or culture.
n.

1. pl. Swiss.
1. A native or inhabitant of Switzerland.
2. A person of Swiss descent.

dotSwitzerland.com would be a GEO, which is available by the way.

I think that says a lot about the value of this one.

I personally don't think it has any real value to it, just because of the "dot" word upfront doesn't make any sense to me but that's just my opinion. I hope you get something for it though.

Good luck.

thanks Jamie for your input. adding rep to you.

So during this discussion I've got an overall picture from your inputs. Reseller value is next to nothing, just an end-user market exists according to the analysis of past sales of dot names on Namebio, DNJournal and bids received for the domains listed on Sedo. guess, they may attain some reseller value if the trend continues - aka iKeyword, eKeyword, GoKeyword :hehe:
who knows...
