Actually, these are the com.co sales within the last 4 months.
Software.com.co --- $27,146 on SEDO
Freelancer.com.co --- $3,500 on SEDO
Claas.com.co --- $1,356 on SEDO
HM.com.co --- $10,000 on SEDO

If you agree that shorter domain names are more valuable and that basic marketing/branding rules win in the end, then, don't overlook .co for both Colombia and global.

Many ccTLD are moving from .com/.co.xx to the shorter .xx version and each NIC laid out the benefits of doing so. Beauty was one reason. .UK and .DE are two opposite examples.

You can compare sales on NameBio of the longer vs shorter to watch them progress see .de vs .com.de and .uk vs .co.uk. .DE prices are xx,xxx while .UK is resistant to change. Next generation probably won't be as resistant, out with the old, in with the new.

I was in a mall in Thailand and saw a .jp domain name being used by a cosmetic store. .JP to them probably indicates 1st world quality and surely is prettier than .co.jp when advertised on a storefront wall or billboard.

Don't get left holding the bag. Though it might take many years to get there.
