Hello,
If you had to choose between .net and .co for your company domain name, which one would you choose?
and why?

.net because it's a not a country code top level domain.

I find the .co more aesthetiically pleasing, i just dont know if people automatically associate it with a company and trust a website with the .co extension.

for domainers and resale..co wins net...and it's not even close...

well...I'd still pick co

.net

I would be concerned that people who aren't familiar with .co would think it's a typo and go to the .com instead.

depending on the name

. co is company domain hack
. net is better.
but dot com is better even with hyphen

i will drop my. cos and. nets no resale value

i like .net

Oldest, most recognized #2 outside .Com.

โ€œ.Coโ€ confused for โ€œ.comโ€ plus higher renewal

In your opinion (for example) Miami-BoatRental.com is better than MiamiBoatRental.net?

I like dot co but for business I will feel sale with dotnet since dot co might face email leak;

People confused ?
My mother may be confused
I may be confused a little on the phone
But the third generation will never be confused

.co can take over .net easily in numbers , that's if the domain names survived the next change

.net is a bad extension for some countries like russia

I can't sell few of my one words .net even for half amount paid to acquire them

I have sold many .co but .net is anyday better than .co

People think .co sells better because it is still possible to buy good .co in the market while good .nets are not.

If you build a .net portfolio of similar quality to a .co portfolio, I am sure, .net will sell better
Also, .co is a repurposed ccTLD. it is simply that there are still good a lot of one word brandbale .co in the market while you can't say the same for .net

Just look a the wholesale market of .net and you will understand.

Also, another small indicator is, A two word .net has a much better liquid value than a 3L.co

longer .com > .io (if tech) > .co

Lots of startups are using .co (and .io) last few years. Many more than are adopting .net of late.
.net has a longer history, of course, and still used in many websites.
I think either .net or .co could be used if the term is good.
If the business involved some sort of network, electronic, social or figurative, then .net is good choice.
Otherwise, I would tend to lean towards .co if term availability equal.

I'm not a fan of the aesthetic of a dot net domain personally.

Amazon don't give a crap about owning it. While FB choose not to re-direct theirs.

.NET hands down. It is widely used and recognized by the average internet user.

The confusion between .COM and .CO is a real issue with ordinary people. The potential for email leakage is the thing I would be the most concerned about.
