Yes yg its insane really!

I just had a NP member tell me my domain 66680.co was not a chip. Fine then what is it??

Devalued is what it is over a bloody zero!!!
Man I'm just choked at this stuff!

WHO MADE UP CHIPS IN THE FIRST PLACE IS MY QUESTION!!!!

what lunatic domainer got this rolling is my question and where can I find them to give them a good old western Canadian tuneup!!

All I've ever heard was that the zero looks like thee letter o so that relegates any domain with a zero to chipless designation!?? !!

Man what an industry when a dang zero can devalue a domain by big $$$ due to misinfo and perpetuating such drival!!

Also sites liker 111 are guilty of perpetuating this be too!!

ARGHHHHHH!!!

Yup. I get it.

66680 is nice domains repeat numbers are great.

Dont fall for naysayers. you will definitely get good returns

Yes.

I have been holding my 7N dot com with 888. Have sold many at 20-40$ each.
still people are skeptical about this domains as they have "0" in it.
They dont understand that they are making a good money for me.

Well if Chinese bought 5n domains to match their license plates we would be in big $$$$$!!!

The question you have to really ask yourselves when in comes to a 0/4 discussion.

For a 5n.co which one is "really" more rare...

44000.co (non chip)

Or

25137.co (The Holy Grail "a random 5N Chip")

Although I personally have fallen for the constant "distaste" for 0's and 4's based on the market.

It's clear which domain "really" has more rarity between the two.

The only thing that helps getting rid of 0 and 4 is it drops the total possible combinations down drastically.

For a 6N for example. (About 260K combo's with 0/4)
Yet almost 1M total numeric combos once 0 and 4 are added in.

The whole 0/4 game solely makes it easier to create a "market" and decrease total combinations

How isa random no pattern domain thee holy grail?

Give me a break!!

You are making this up as you go along man

777xx. Whatever is more desirable IMO.

And what about just with zero and no four what is your magic number of rarity?

Its clear u r simply like me, confused!

Its more about pattern, sequence, repeat numbers rather than random numbers.

Exactly!

The last poster I think is just confused as I said cause no one really knows what the heck is actually a chip and non chip.

Some people think they know but its just monkey see monkey say, its all thee same .

All I know is it is flawed period!

Yes
If you see namejet's recent 5N dot com sale
you will see domain with 088 was more pricey than the domain without
This is a very good example of how things depend on patterns than random domains

Ones poster in another thread made a good point stating overall domains with zero & 4 sell for less than without however its the stigma attached to these 2 numbers that I'm teed off about and I cannot get an explanation as to exactly why a zero devalues a domain even in a great sequence or pattern?

Like I said prior the only reason ius a zero looks like letter o. That's all that's it?? Give me a break man !

Some Chinese dude in an article I read stated this bizarre reason and it stuck.

Well I'm done trying to convert the zero haters!

Just watch and see I guess and hopefully those of us who hold domains in any extension with a zero prove this ridiculous scenario as a farcce!

Actually I think you drastically misunderstood what I was saying.

In my opinion 44000.co has "MORE rarity" and memorability then some random 5 number without any pattern and excludes 0/4.

And I'll tell you something else. I OWN that domain! So please, next time before you start discrediting someone you don't even know, why not trying to seek to understand? :)

As far as what's considered a "chip" well that is pretty self explanatory, as there IS already a market created for "chip" domains not containing 0 and 4.

However when you actually break down a domain, not all numerics are created equal.

520 & 1314 for example.

Either of those two numbers (although, they "contain 0/4")

Are going to be worth more to the Chinese then some random number. (Though neither of them technically fall into the "0/4 free market" and YES, there is a "0/4 free market")

If you don't know why those would be worth more... Well...Time to do you homework ;)

Sure buddy you got it!!

Whatever you just said, if it means zeros are OK I'm with ya! You just wrote it in a strange manor open for misinterpretation.

Homework ? I haven't done that in 30 years lol!

0 is ok, just means infinite, infinity, forever.

I have a 777.net.co . I think that it does not have value because 'net' part kinda kills it.

Smart Chinese. They also created this market for us to benefit, so I wouldn't be that angry, just play the game by the rules and benefit from it.

66680.co is good combination anyway, have triple 6, and chances are that if it wouldn't have that bloody 0, someone would register it before you :)

And mdtaylor is speaking the truth, 0's are not OK, 520 means I love you, I think.

So I saw this big billboard yesterday advertising a real estate investment company using the .co extension for their website. I stood there transfixed in front of the advert for about 3-4 minutes so excited about it. I`m sure people around would be wondering whats wrong with this man starring at a billboard. Little did they know.
