This could truly be a big competitor to .COM (especially being a "typo").
I would say with proper guidance .CO could REALLY have a bright future!

I keep wondering why the .Co-registry don't diminish the renewalpricing and the transferpricing. I find .CO fabulous, but I don't like it when extentions have higher renewal + transferprice then registerprice.

Because they want people actually developing and using the domains.

damn.. I got excited for a second. I checked and that's only for the first year. After the first year you're paying $30 / year. And I mean, Namecheap has had .co for .99 for the first year but the renewals are around $30.. compared to only $9 - $11 for .com on renewals. That's why I prefer .com.

I like the pricing. It positions it as a premium extension.

And $30 a year to market a brand is pretty cheap.
