Well, it seems like Colombia will be releasing .CO to the internet market:

This could truly be a big competitor to .COM (especially being a "typo").
I would say with proper guidance .CO could REALLY have a bright future!

The bigger question is...why even register that crappy .co?

well i guess we all really know the answer to that.. just is frustrating to think about:

person thinks "oh hey look people make money selling domains"
"hey ill register this because <insert non-logical reason here>"
(..after 3 years of renewal fees person find the forums)
"hey guys ive had this great domain for a while, any offers"

"............."

I've sold a number of LLL.CO's but this was the first of a handful of keywords that I own.

not all .cos. if the .com version of it so populer, then surely have traffic.

its getting 15000 visitors a month. because mega.co.nz is so populer.

Sorry to burst your your bubbles, but if it's traffic you seek from .co domains: typos or otherwise, there aint much.
