Please don't post newly.expired names from auctions - as far as I know, most of those names can still be renewed by the original registrant during the redemption period. The winner(s) aren't guaranteed to get names until they're in the new owner's account.

Got it, good point. ive edited the post to protect the buyer. i find it weird that they auction before the redemption period. Seems like a sure way to cause a lot of pain for auction buyers.

Im sure that a $1600+ domain is an end user purchase.

No problem, thanks for the edit.

Actually, I'm willing to bet it was an investor who bought it. And it wasn't me, although I was one of the bidders, and I own an alternate spelling of the name.

It could be an end user, but unless they saw it in the WhoIS or are tech-savvy enough to know that the major .CO drop period is happening right now, I don't think they'd be hip to the fact that GD auctions even exist.

Only time will tell. This is certainly fun to watch! :lala:

Interesting. at that price I think I'd be wary as an investor, although it does relate to alot of businesses. I havent picked up .co's this time around but have got my eye on a few coming up :>

If you want to read how Godaddy auction domains can still be renewed (and the time frame involved), read this NP thread (Starting on Page 16):

In summary, it's a good idea not to brag about an auction win until about 4 days AFTER the domain lands in your GD account.

I figured people could use a coupon code in case you have names to pay for at GoDaddy this week. This took 22% off my order of $44: gdx624k

Edit: Works on auctions, too. That's why I posted it here.

:)
hi๏ผŒhow do you think the market price about 3 digits .co domains, like 005.co or 457.co??

Guys, can you post some of the prices that the expired names fetched at GD. It's not violating the rules here. I think it would provide a realistic view of the .co aftermarket.

If it were .com the prices would have been posted... and .co is less competitive, so I can't see the harm. If you are bidding on the name, maybe you should avoid posting it.

Look at the NFC thread, people post what's in auctions. I think it would be cool to have some action in this thread... it's seems to be dying. :imho:

Just to be clear: I am not interested in purchasing expiring .co.

I wouldn't waste money on NNN.CO like those.

Rick Schwartz dropped 90 + NNN.CO and he couldn't care less of even getting a dollar for either one of them.

I would say-focus on .COM. It's where the money is at.

Check http://www.namebio.com sort by .co, most are there, about 3 and a half pages of .co sales from GoDaddy for today alone.

Thanks. Seems like namebio is keeping up with recent sales. It was never this up-to-date for Godaddy auctions in the past.

Some of the prices do seem to be end-user prices. Pity one can't set the price range on namebio starting below $100. If it were possible, I think the list would run to quite a bit of pages than just the three and a half pages it is showing now.

Looks like there are more sub-$100 prices judging from the lists I have seen at GD.

I saw =
oak.co $ 2.505 !!!
ishop.co $ 925 !!!
tee.co $ 805
bourbon.co $ 728 !!!
pianos.co $ 507
sci.co $ 365
bas.co $ 355
otel.co $ 305 (yes you read right, for "otel")

These sales are lower then SEDO earlier, but that's logical : not so well known.

I'm surprised there aren't more posts this week. While I suppose we can't discuss specific expired names quite yet, did anyone manage to snag some they wanted?

I picked up about 5-6 - French, German, and English. Got an offer on a name last week which I turned down, but I had another sale (a .DE) this week, so I feel ok about the investment. The coupon code saved me almost 60 bucks.

There were a few in that high sales list I had my eye on, but I was priced out once they started to skyrocket. I'm definitely surprised that the figures were as high as $2500. Wouldn't have predicted that.

Not bad Nadia. I was not able to check the expired of .co lately, busy with other project.

By the way, I have crr.co and ejs.co $400 each or $750 for pair.

Cheers.

Nothing too exciting but many names went for not too great value - anything over $100 is, as mentioned, at Namebio. Thought some of the lll.co weren't too bad but most < $30. These are just some that actually HAD A BID when I was looking.. there were hundreds that didn't. But it shows that the reseller market for lll.co is D-E-A-D. End user or nothing... seems a popular game is end user shortcut though so some will get lucky.

Even NNN.co struggled to reach anything major but I don't get the Chinese nnn market.

Some better value .coms falling at the same time imho. FinancialArchitect/MedicalFashion etc. were all in the .co price ranges. Maybe they're just ones I like.

Of all of them I like stupid names like sporty.co anyway.

Best buy? Crap.co at $105 :)

FYI.
I didn't bid on any. I own only 1 name. The list has no rhyme or reason. Just ones I ended up watching when I was checking on Ideal.CO

Not that big news. If you checked 45 and he only renewed 4, that shows very little confidence in the extension.

How many did you check? Posting 4 renewed and not saying how many you checked, means pretty much nothing.

Doing some drop estimates here compared to the last major .co web survey in February 2012. Some of the percentages of drops (expressed as % of websites in February 2012 web survey) are:
4.3508% Active/Unique
1.9068% Holding Pages
1.4250% PPC Parked
2.4765% Redirects

Thought I'd post here just to get some feedback and insight on what you all think about this domain I received an offer on today. Hopefully this post belongs here, as it relates to discussion of .co:

AminoAcids *dot* co

90,500 exact monthly searches, category-leading keyword, correlates well with .co "brand", and part of a $27 billion dollar industry (2011)

Any indications of a potential sales figure would be highly appreciated
