Re-seller: Low XXXX to Mid XXXX

End-user: Mid XXXX to Low XX,XXX... IMO (Could get more from a motivated buyer)

Highly opportunistic domain. Good luck.

I'll give you $500 right now for this domain

He's asking you to make offers as much as he's actually asking for an appraisal.

Reasonable value would be the average thickness of a cirrus cloud in feet, but not more.

You have it listed on Afternic with a $250 minimum offer. That's reasonable :-D

Not that I disagree, I just don't know, but why so much for this one? I feel like I see tons of cloud*.com or *cloud.com, are cloud domains hot and these could be valuable or is there something special about this name? Like would corporatecloudservices.com or cloudmonitoringprograms.com be valuable or no because they are just by default too long? Help someone out who is really trying hard to learn... Thanks! :)

Most of my domains are on Afternic with a low "minimum offer", doesn't mean I would sell it for that

Dont settle for anything less than high x,xxx for this one, I think you will get low xx,xxx for this one if you are patient enough

It really seems too much for that name.
If we look at it under ad EMD it has 480 searches per month; if we look at it under a pure brandable perspective ( even though I think no companies would call themselves " cloudonline ".. ) the words are not in the best possible order. So I would really like to know HOW that name can be appraised high x.xxx low xx.xxx and I am absolutely ready to take my words back.
I wouldn't buy it for more than 750$

31 pages for word+"online" on Namebio vs 25 for "online"+word
..however the latter type has more 10K+ sales

nationline.com 2012-11-11
imprentaonline.es 2012-05-14

i agree with low $xx,xxx estimations - $10-20K looks very realistic and fairly adequate to me

Ok 4 I appreciate you have been kind to me..I know it must have been hard lol..:hearts:
I really wish him to sell it for that price. Forgive my blindness but I still wouldn't buy it for more than 750. My bad. thanks for your explanation 4

It will sell for whatever a motivated buyer will pay for the name.

It is a nice standalone .COM brand and is very easy to recall on a worldwide scale.

I think I should hold out for at least mid $x,xxx based on past/current Cloud-orientated domain sales.

photonmymind, Im not going to get into this with you again mate, so here is my reasoning

With this type of name, its nothing to do with searches per month, CPC, previous sales etc etc...its about a good company name and thats it

There oly 2 orders these words can be in, and this is the best of the 2

I have sold a few cloud names worse than this in the $7K-$10K range recently so I do have some understanding of cloud name values. I would pay more than $750 for it right now and I know a few other cloud people that would as well.

Federer, be patient with this one, I wish you all the best

I wish you all the best

giles and photonmymind

You are both correct.

The name is overvalued in my opinion. It's not a good brandable at all (it's two related words) and the two words are kind of redundant - cloud online? No, I'd rather deal with Cloud Offline?

Better cloud names have dropped. imho. and certainly available cheaper.

Giles is right though - someone somewhere will be stupid enough to use this name as a business and probably overpay for it. Nothing unusual about that.

As for the comparables? I'm not going to consider anything that's a mobi from 2007 relevant are you?

Basically, there's a sucker born every minute. Anyone stupid enough to pay $10K+ for this deserves what they get. A perfectly adequate and average name.

I think that Cloud Online (dot) com has a reputation for itself. Look at the words.

Like Giles said, there's nothing to do with searches for this one. An online Cloud based company should only be proud to call themselves "Cloud Online", I don't see anything wrong there, considering the fact that some companies use the most bizarre combinations of words you could ever imagine. Example: GoDaddy, Facebook.

Moreover, cloudonline is taken in almost all major extensions - there's a reason why people reg'd this domain in many extensions.

I would also hold out for at least Mid XXXX

Not meaning to rain on this discussion but aren't "cloud" storage services already online?

Wouldn't that make "cloud online" redundant?

Although there are plentiful "cloud" storage services already, I don't think that would affect the potential value of this domain.

My point isn't the number of cloud storage services, it's that "cloud", in this sense, means it's already online, so the "online" portion of this isn't needed.

Kind of like the phrase "cash money".

Isn't "cash" already money?

Cash and money are the same thing. Not Cloud and Online. "Cloud" computing is happening "Online" As words, they are two completely different things, although related.

I'm thinking, someone in the Cloud Industry who can't afford to spend a million dollars for a domain (like Cloud.com), should be happy with Cloud Online dot com for about 10 Grand :bingo:

Where else would cloud computing be done if not online?

Just because two keywords in a domain make it an obvious phrase, doesn't make the domain bad. It's perfectly fine IMHO

Doesn't make it good either.

No reasoning?

A buyer who sees it's true potential will pay for what it's worth. End of story :)

I just gave you my reasoning. And, of course, a buyer who sees potential will, at least, offer what he or she thinks it's worth.

It's just not going to be a lot.

PS. I also checked out the websites for the other "cloudonline" extensions. None were developed and most were for sale. I think that's pretty telling right there.
