As an adjective yes (and also means "prior consideration" and "anticipation" too), but as a noun it means "to design something", and is by far used more as a noun.
When someone is making a clothing garment they are "designing" it, and not being deceitful at all.
As for the domain, to be honest, I think "DesignShop.com" was under priced at $5k. It was a good sale and I'd have potentially been happy with that depending on what I bought for etc, but it could have brought more to the right end user IMO. Which has relevance to your potential price as it could also fetch 4 figures too.
Yours is arguably not as good as "design", with "designing" being a bit more of a mouthful, but potential for mid $xxx to anywhere in $xxxx depending on how long you keep it and visibility etc.
