This was a very erratic time for short, and numeric domains, during that 3 week window nobody really had a clue what was going on, you had chips go from $1K - $3K, and everyone was chasing everything.

That same ambition is not here today, if you look around there are many threads with premium chips, many with double letters, that cannot even yield a decent offer in the low $2K.
