The name no longer has the "aged" status which from a reselling standpoint drops value. It's like the clock restarted. The other negative is with .info's especially, specificity is good, 'area' covers a lot, perhaps too much. Area.us sold for $2500 last year, though area.us does make it more specific to a place so fits the extension better than the .info. Areacode.info has more value, though longer.
Value? $500 more or less depending on buyer. I personally would not have spent more than $100 as the enduser or reseller. But you may want to consider developing, using domain hacks and such to increase value, play.area...
