Client transfer prohibited - What does it mean

I'm new at domain biz, registering my domains I get stuff like client transfer prohibited- what does it mean

That sounds like the domain is "locked".

What that means if is the domain is locked even the owner cannot transfer it to another registrar. Since you have to be in your domain account to unlock the domain, it means no one can put in a fake transfer request and steal your domain.
