Certified Offer's system is done with automated models, no human puts their input into them, and as some have had appraisals at $300-$400 and some at several thousands, which are good to take into consideration. No one pays the full appraisal value in most cases unless they just really want the domain, it is no different than cars, homes or anything else. Yet, they can come in helpful as one of many things to consider when buying a domain name. For example even though a domain name may not appraise for a lot, it may have a lot of traffic, which a appraiser isn't going to likely know and which of course would add a lot of value to a domain. This domain is also listed on Yahoo which adds value to it. If upon being told by an appraisal your domain is worth more or less than you paid, and you want your money back, then I would say you did poor research in buying the domain name in the first place and probally shouldn't be buying or selling domain names until you have enough of a understanding to make sure you don't get a bad deal. I think most of the buyers and sellers out there are honest people, sure you are going to run into bad ones once in a while, which is why you need to have a good amount of knowledge about what you are looking to buy before you go out and buy it.
