When do you think, if ever, there will be a .city TLD? Do you think they need to let the current ones get more established first, like .mobi, .ws, ect?

I don't think it's needed or will happen. most cities use .org or .us. Carry it further and would you then also need to add .county, .village, .town, .township?

True, but you have to admit that .city would be awesome. I thought about it like this:

If a "place" is big enough that it needs a website, it would be a city. A town may or may not need a website... the technology could not even be good enough that people cared about a website.

.city tld ? for now on i think it's not necessary, coz some country had implemented local domain, such as russian, they have implement something like that. Just forget where i ever read that news

I'd gladly replace .MOBI with .CITY. Currently, though, I don't think there's a huge need for it. I think .INFO's substitute quite well for that purpose , IMHO :gl: .

I didn't see the need for .MOBI either; . What's their registration cost, anyways?

I doubt .city will happen. .city is too English-language specific for a tld, IMHO.

English is the language of the internet, so the fact that city is in english means nothing as far as impeding its usage as a tld.
