Hello,

I regged one other idn today.

The Chi Ro symbol

The oldest monogram referring to Christ. The word Christ in ancient Greek capital letters was XPICTOC (pronounced Kristos). The first two letters are X (Chi) and P (Rho) and these are combined to form the symbol.

Any thoughts? I have a feeling that I am going to get attached to this even though it probably holds little value.

I cannot see that page at all becasue the actual domain name is a "?".

I cannot see any value for this domain because I don't even know of an end user that would ever want it. I could be 100% wrong, though.

Of course, it is better than, say, jsdfoweirw9e0rfw345osdifjg09e45jerg09.com, but not really by much.

What does IDN stand for?

International DOmain Name perhaps?

If so, are you saying that someday I will have to buy a keyboard with greek symbols on it? WHat are the chances of that one being put on these keyboard over one tht is a profitable symbol?

Internationalized Domain Name. IE plugin- www.IDNNOW.com I used firefox which does not require the plugin.

I see, so that still leaves the second question unanswered. However, I can see how greek internet users might like the name. Who else would ever have that symbol on their computer or would there be a way to type it without having a special key?

All of these questions are to help me better understand how this domain could be worth morethan 0 and to understand how many people will be able to actually see this page nad type the domain if IDNs are ever implemented as a standard. If I find all this out, I and others might be able to better appraise such a domain.

Its really hard to say, alot of people dont have the plugin.

So really i have no idea its toough to say. Maybe High xx's? but its a 1 symbol
so maybe low xxx's

I answered the entry method above. It is not a "Greek Symbol" most Christians are aware of the symbol since it is a symbol of Christ so therefore it is a global symbol, at least anywhere Christianity exists.

I see. Plugin schmugin. $0.00. Let's face it, if a poor chrurch wanted that domain, they could never afford more than a reg fee or at least not much more.

But I am no expert, as is no other appraiser here. Take what you will out of it, but since you posted here in the appraisal section, I am guessing you ultimately wanted to hear $XXXXXXXXXX. Sorry,but it ain't gonna happen. Iam not too sure what else you were looking to acconplish. If your question is basically what others think about IDNs will gaining poularity, then that is not an appraisal.

Sorry, I really don't understand what else you came here looking to accomplish with this post. Otherwise, wait until I ask Jesus and he responds. MAybe his appraisal will be higher. But even then, it is worth nothing as he can't pay you for it.
