I believe only short and easy-to-remember domain names are sustainable, regardless of where in the world you live and which cultural background you come from.

Now that the Chinese domain market has become a hot topic, I myself want to understand this trend too. Is there any real meaning behind each domain name sold in China? Here, I'd like to share with you what I've found as I read the Chinese news everyday.

GZX.com
GZX can stand for 更自信 (even more self-confident) which can be used in many fields such as education, self-help, and even consumer products to raise your self image.

XLY.com
XLY can stand for 夏令营 (summer camp) or 新领域 (new field) which can be used in recreation and high-tech products.

General Research: I am interested in games / esports and take chances when reg pinyin generics especially when a generic is unregistered in the .com prefix.
Surprised to find
LanqiuYouxi - SaimaYouxi - PinpangYouxi available as Baibu is more competitive.
Have I made not understood something here? If I have its part of the learning curve ...
篮球游戏 (Lan Qiu You Xi) is a common term, which can be found in Baidu search. I don't have time to check the others. Personally, I don't invest in Pinyin domains so I don't have a lot to say about this category.

Thanks Kassey, It does surprise me that you do not take advantage of your linguistics.
Basketball ping pong as your aware is huge in China. I know what the translations mean just surprised they were available. Sorry for the typo should be PingPangYouxi

The reason is simple: I want to sell to the entire world including China but most Pinyin domains are limited to China only.

Thanks. DCEP may be a game changer. Traditional banks are no longer needed. All you need is your phone with the central bank app downloaded to act as your bank account. Offline transaction is possible and money can be sent to a friend by bumping your phones. According to the plan, all stores in China will be required to accept DCEP. At least these are all the features I have read. We'll see its impact in a few years.

Kassey
I had some domains about wine and a few days ago sent them to "nameliquidate" because I was not sure about their future.
1stjiu.com
530jiu.com
740jiu.com
exjiu.com
itsjiu.com
jiummy.com
justjiu.com
9jiu5.com
anyjiu.com
ciao9.com
docjiu.com
forjiu.com
icejiu.com
jiuenjoy.com
jiuice.com
jiuici.com
jiuicy.com
jiumix.com
medjiu.com
sixjiu.com
teyijiu.com
ayajiu.com
321jiu.com

The same with some kafei domains.

My question is about prices, on 4.cn I do not see great transactions/offers about this kind of domains so I decided to liqiuidate.
A part from mine, isn't the market a very big one ? is there a request for wine/coffee related domains ?

My own strategy is to sell my domains to the whole world including China. If you want to target China only, I suggest you do end user research before acquiring a domain. Try these 3 simple steps: https://domainnamewire.com/2020/03/05/chinese-end-user-research/

Also, if you want to invest in Pinyin domains, understanding the Chinese language will be very helpful. (BTW, I don't invest in Pinyin domains even though I am Chinese.)

"We'll see its impact in a few years" Kassey the impact will be instant in China as the PRC and BSN Alliance ensure the transition to RMB / Yuan will be seamless. {RMBduihuan com - YuanDuihaun com}
The global markets are playing catch-up. LIbra and eventually all sovereign currencies will introduce digital systems within one year IMO designated continents will compete in the exchange markets ?

Short numeric domains up to 4N have genuine demand from Chinese end users, so they will remain valuable for a long long time. Longer numerics are rarely seen in corporate China but still are traded among speculators. As long as speculators believe there is value in long numeric domains, I guess the game will continue for a long long time. I must admit that I can't explain why some long numeric domains sell for even 5 figures. I stay away from niches that I don't understand and numeric domain is one of them.

I mean there is the obvious 5201314.com, that one is definitely of significant value.

Looking at the list I provided, every single one of them is taken in .com with some also taken in multiple extensions.

You can hand reg that it's available :). I feel like there is a limit, maybe MAX is 7N for such a name. If you look, 5201314.com is taken in 67+ TLDs I'd say it's probably a $xxx, xxx domain due to the meaning and overall tld demand.

There are probably, very very few long numeric domains like 5201314.com in which you can actually see a commercial use. Probably less than 200. My guess is all the good ones have been taken many years ago, probably early 2000s. 5201314.com has been registered since 2006, 1314258.com since 2001, 770880.com since 2006, 775885.com since 2004.

5201314 Love you forever
1314258 Love me forever
770880 Kiss you Hug you
775885 Kiss me Hug me

Don't you think these could be used commercially for something related to the "love " industry i.e dating, wedding jewelry, matchmaking? Also to be clear 5201314.com is the one that is heads and shoulders above the rest as its a colloquial numeric term.
