Is it a somewhat good estimate that
chinese LLLL.com premiums are at at least $1billion value today?
Unlike Number .coms chinese premium LLLL.com boomed in value in a very short period.
Will they hold their value or is it the biggest BUBBLE ever seen in domains?

Share your thoughts please

Guys you are already counting money you don´t have yet :)
and it can be the other way around, that the prices are $100 and the guy who sold 100 for 100k is laughing

Only time will tell!

Yeah I agree, I'm finding it hard to sell my Chinese 4 letter here on the forum for even $1099 . Started at $1180 and reduced it but still no takers :(

I ended up putting mine on auction here and it really isn't reaching anywhere near the prices I see on other sites, only on $1,005 currently. Seems similar names fetching $1500+ on other sites.

I am saying CHinese are known for creating bubbles!
I have seen some bubbles in my life. This bubble can go on for long, I am not debating about it.
But currently seems that the $1000 mark is it for 4 letter.coms. Last ones I sold I got $1090 each, but that was pressing hard and I had really nice ones. not the crap some are selling here.

The Chinese are silently buying these at bargains. Scoop them as many as you can. This upward trend will continue for at least next 6-9 months. Make hay while the sun shines !

Depends on the platform, but I'm not playing that market, it's not liquid enough.

noone wants them

Seems GD has the highest sales on Chinese LLLL.com, probably worth paying the 20% comission

They have the largest audience of asian buyers.

Where I go?
I'm not sure where they are, since not investing in them, because not as liquid as LLLL.

Not sure how few years ago data applies here, because just in March I bought LLLL.com on Ebay for $27, and really should have taken more at $23-30. Even last months prices are irrelevant now.

We are. I've been monitoring sales closely and almost all the domains going for $1500+ are expiring auctions. The public auction listings seem to be having a floor of $1100 approx give or take.

Not quite sure why this is happening at godaddy but that's what i'm seeing.
The floor is certainly moving up though this week overall no doubt about it.
SEDO even a week or so ago were selling for around $1k-$1050 each regularly.

Now today on SEDO ywbn.com - $1200, rfxy.com yesterday $1200 etc.

I'm enjoying this situation and find it very helpful for me to make money as a lot of others here.

Very strange to see you, who keeps selling your LLLL.com for good profits to call it "problem"

As predicted...

This is all no mystery. The ceiling will be when it's no longer cost effective for domainers to keep flipping back and forth. When the flippers stop buying, then the real investors buy... but then who do the investors sell to - end users.

That's what is supposed to happen, but what happens when there are no end users. Or rather, when the end user demand does not justify an investor shelling out $3k.

Then those investors start offloading.... and that's when the 'bubble' bursts.

I think @Federer is 100% right, it's something I've said before. I think 4L's will hit 3k but... at some point after that they will plateau and get smashed back down to a $800 - $1000 level - where the 'flippers' were buying.

I've seen this before in so many other markets... everything is the same - which applies to so much in life.

This won't hurt domains as a whole, but it will hold the GENERIC pinyin 4L market to an 'honest' price. Honest meaning an actual non-hype driven price.

A lot of 4L advocates are like the gTLD preachers of last year... and they will blindly walk the march of lemmings off the financial cliff. If generic PinYin domains reach a floor of $5k I will make a video of me eating a shoe while saying "I love PinYin Chips" before every bite.

I am aware of that and there are some domains that for whatever reason don't get the floor from time to time when listed on forums. However, patience is a virtue and if he can't get the price he wants then waiting is a good option IMO, or he can sell slightly under the current floor if cash is the issue, but I don't know his needs/wants here.

Some names probably will go for just around or over $1k but that's not the norm for many names at present.
I'm happy to hold anyway from here. Others are of course welcome to do what they want.

.
This is happening because chinese investors do not see "public auctions" They are searching for GD 'expiring auctions"
