Hi I just signed up today, but I've been checking out this forum and domain sales for awhile now and giving it a shot


I found this name through a random word generator tool, and I thought hey maybe someone wants to sell chi powered ink :hehe:

Anyways, I was wondering what you thought of this name considering its risque aspects.

That would be "Chink" - And even if a word has negative associations - It doesn't mean it's useless IMO. "If" it was the real word - You could always build a Positive site on it. A site talking about the issue(s) of racism in the world. The same could be said for any Slur type domains .... Many of them have type in traffic I'd bet - You could try to educate the people searching for these terms. I seen people say the same thing about SS.com when it was here for goodness sakes .... "SuperSport" "ScreenShot" etc .... No one thinks ahead many times now it seems. When giving appraisals - You shouldn't let personal feelings enter the picture so quickly.

That being said - I also find little value to this domain but for different reasons. No real search value and more than likely if you were to build a site on it , You would more than likely have traffic leakage to the actual "Chink.com".

It has two II's in it. But his mention of making it into an asian porn site shows that he at least recognized the possibility it could be used a a slur.

I do not think that it is a slur until used as one though. :imho:

Although I hate to admit this, even Racial slurs have value. I can think of several that would be used for Jews, African-Americans, Asians, Irish, Mexicans, ect.... I think even though they are offensive and in mean spirit, you'll find all of them regged, and more than likely, all of them generating atleast a bit of traffic/rev.
