What does everyone think of this domain.

I am planning on developing it into a cooking and recipe website.

Are you a chef?

What recipes will you be featuring? Your own, or sourced (copy and pasted) from somewhere else on the net?

If you go to the extra effort of taking photos of each progressive stage of what you're cooking then it could be a site worth visiting.

Reg fee, a little too long and hard to remember. Could be good if developed.

The recipies will come from myself and my partner who yes is a chef, 25 years now, I have been a cook for 5 years myself.

Yes, we are planning on cooking and photographing most all recipies.

I agree that it is long but personally I found it easy to remember.

Glad to here you guys think it has some potential.

Thanks for all the feedback on it, much appriciated. Love to hear what others think.

Well then, I think the site will be excellent. The name is fairly generic. Long yes, but it's descriptive.

Have a nice line art illustration of a chefs hat somewhere in the logo. Maybe hanging off the F or the K in chefscookingrecipes.

Or maybe even hang it off the descender of the G. :D

Do you know much about Google's AdSense? Because I think if you incorporate an AdSense campaign it will make you a few dollars. And don't go with the 468x60 sized banners either. Go for the big slab. Make it a part of your site rather than it look like a banner ad. It will pick up your keywords and serve up ads to suit the context.

Be sure to include the photos. Because I think the extra effort involved (as well as regular updates, weekly would do) will be what gets people to come back regularly.

When you launch the site be sure to have plenty of back content as well. At least 20 to 25 recipes, and then update weekly. You could update more frequently than that but don't set yourself a target that you can't manage.

Be sure to PM me when you have the site up and running, I'd love to see it :D

Thank you for the input.

Great idea of having the chefs hat in the logo. I like that.

I dont know alot about adsense but that is how we are planning on making money from it. I was planning on running a sidebar style ad, so basically there would be a naviagation sidebar on one side and the ads on the other, with content in the middle.

I totally agree that the photos will be well worth the effort. Although we are still trying to decide if we want photos of everything.

Updates are absolutly vital to any website in my opinion. We are planning on daily updates, something like one meal a day(so 1 entree, 1 soup, 1 desert etc..), which we will run through rss feeds as well as opt in email newsletters. We are also thinking about a daily cooking advice section. People could ask cooking question through a form and the best questions would be answered and posted.

Once again thank you for the input it is always highly appreciated.
