well I would say you have to ask more. global chain must have more money. negotiate. I know they are rich. it they really want this name they can pay you 10k. I cannot evaluate the name though. but all what is important is how much they like this name. and that it the most important factor.
good luck. ask them more and stop in the middle. be careful not to scare them though.

JC, your domnain has only 4 uniques/month, and I'm the only one who has visited your for sale page. There is also no email contact for you on your page becaise it was done by a parking company. I guess they could be going directly to whois, but we all know this is rare with this type of name.

Obviously you are proactively contacting end users yourself, and I've never seen someone have so much success at getting large offers this way. Could you please post your methods? We could all benefit.

Seriously. You've told us that you've had outlandish offers on a half-dozen reg-fee names now and (mysteriously) refused them. Perhaps if you share the name of this global hotel chain that has made contact, we could help you put a price on it... (and maybe believe you).

Can admin ever ask for proof to be provided when a pattern of questionable claims arises on this board?

These kind of claims, if false, are unethical and perhaps questionably legal because these domains are currently for sale.

For example, if a real estate agent makes false statements about "offers" received on specific houses to new potential buyers he/she can face huge consequences.

Namepros is well-run, a fantastic resource, and a lot of fun, so there is no room for these kinds of posts if they are not true.

obviously i cannot reveal my sources to this forum as i can guarantee that many would decide to make contact and try and sell their domain.Get real folks.

This forum is here to share info not give out specifics.What can i say i actually have a list of domains that mean something,are brandable,and target specific vertical markets.

Unfortunately there are lot of domain owners that have domain names that mean nothing,are not brandable,and that do not target any specific industry.

Hey I'm not saying I have the best domains but I'm happy with them and I'm confident most are worth more that what I paid and in many cases alot more.

I'm highly suspicious of this poster after reading these threads of his:

Two other sub-par domains that he claims he has received large offers for. And looking at his other posts, he is very rude in all of his appraisal threads, whenever anybody gives him a negative (often true) appraisal. Very unprofessional.

Have a look at some of the domains you have tried to sell on here.Some of those domains are sub par compared to the ones I own.
