I purchased witn.tv a couple of months ago. Well yesterday I was checking my email and it turns out I got an offer on it. The guys name is chris mossman and he is the vice president of sales and marketing for the news networks witn and also wctv. He wants to purchase witn.tv from me, the current website for witn news is witntv.com, if he purchases witn.tv from me he can convert it. How much would you say this domain is worth to him?

Less then the cost of a possible trademark infringement filing if you are squatting and just using it for parking based off his sites.

Unless the initials stand for something else, this may be your best and only customer. If he made you an offer, what is it?

Based on lack of other meanings, I would say tops of $1000. If they offer $500 or more, I would probably take it.

I think you are mail should be more of this kind

" Hello XXXXX,

I am interested in selling this name. Make an offer.

Regards,
XXXXX"

Take it from there.

The fact that he already owns the .com equivilant (more or less) means that this isn't going to be your diamond in the rough. I agree with Showbiz's estimate and Vimal's approach here. Plus if you sell the exposure would be great for .tv (and thus help all of us) :)
