Can anyone tell me where to find cheap but reliable co.uk registrations? Thanks!

Usually works out to a total of £7 (Approx. $11) per .co.uk domain, for 2 years.

They seem pretty reliable for the near year I've been using them. I haven't come across any problems yet. They also have some nice features for using on your domain to, then again, it's nothing different from any other good domain registar!

Armstrong if you are an enom reseller, I understand that they have access to .co.uk registrations - don't know what the pricing is like. just that resellers can reg them whereas us mortals cannot. My .co.uk registrar is an enom reseller and I get mine from him at 9.99 GBP which is about 16/17USD for 2yrs (this is the minimum you can reg for.

Darren - your exchange rate is the wrong way round - 7GBP equates to about 11/12 USD.

My enom account lets me register for $6.99 per year. Factor in the 3% CC refill charge, and that works out to about $7.20 per year. I just know there are lots of cheaper sources out there.

current exchange rate is approx 1.74 to the pound so at this conversion it would be £4.14 per year. Remember the minimum period for a .co.uk is 2yrs and you have £8.28 (or $14.40 USD) which is probably a bit pricier than you can get it from the above.

Apollo - remember it is a two year minimum reg for a first time .co.uk - everybody mixes this up when comparing against .coms

I tried 1and1.co.uk, and their order page seemed to assume that I am from the UK. Are co.uk domains available for registration for non-UK residents?

They should be. I suppose it does depend on which registrar you register them at.. Some registrars may keep themself solid to UK business, I guess.

Nominet UK would usualy send out a few forms for you to fill in, for the ownership of your domain, and perhaps they only work with in the UK?

Anyway. UKReg lets you register outside of the UK, if thats any easier.

dont go to one and one they will screw you in terms that you HAVE to host from them only and cannot change dns settings names can not be pushed in to another account aswell they are just trapping you by offering low prices so you end up hosting your names with them

Also check with these 'cheap' registrars whether you can transfer out to another registrar for free at a later date. I can't remember which but I'm sure at least one of the companies recommended above charge £20+ to move away from them.
