Changing Registrant name

About 4 weeks ago i bought a domain i had it transfered from he's 123reg account to mine,changed he's contact details to mine.

Then about 2 weeks ago i had a fulltime job so i thought I'd sell the domain on ebay had 31 watchers,30 emails and so on..then i went on to google typed in "Check domain status" and i noiced the About 4 weeks ago i bought a domain i had it transfered from he's 123reg account to mine,changed he's contact details to mine.

So i got in touch with 123 reg and they told me to ring nominet.

Now they told me that I'd have to pay £35.35 for me to change the Registrant name!

I've never had to to that. I've always been able to change the registrant info. Usually takes 24 hours for the whois to update. But the whole having to pay deal....never heard of it. It may be in 123reg's policy,etc. somewhere.

I hope not i bought this domain name thinking I'd only have to pay so much not to come back two months later with someone telling me i have to pay £35.25,I have someone who would like to buy my domain name but I'm unsure if i have the right to sell the domain (Because the registrant name isn't mine but the contact details are).?

transfer it to namecheap then change details there..
£35.25... thats nearly $100 New Zealand
its only 12 dollars New Zealand to register a domain.....
