cellphone.mobi is a good name ( A collectors domain ) . Probably the GBP 250,000.00 price tag is a bit high . Unless or otherwise a company like Nokia or Sony wants to buy it.

cellphone is okay, but i speculate the word will, and is already dying off.

mobile phone is the new lingo.. maybe itll even turn into some other word 10 years down the road when there is actually stuff to do on the mobile interwebs.

His price is high but it's still a nice package he collected on a budget with tv mobi and cc - there should be some added value all together.

I agree the word cellphone is on it's way out (i think it was just a North American thing anyways, never global) but will still be a big moneymaker for a few years.

According to Google trends, more than twice as many people search for "cell phone" compared to "cell phones" in the USA, see here:

This is probably one reason why CellPhone.com sold for $7,500,000 whereas CellPhones.com sold for $4,200,000, IMO.

I think cellphone.mobi is a relevant name... the discussion about the plural vs. singular is interesting. Barring a domain sale we've been hesitating about whether to use touchphone.ca or touchphones.ca as the primary identifier. We own both names, but it's not easy deciding on which one to use.

BTW, back on OT looks like the eBay auction for cellphone.mobi ended without a transaction or even bids.. !
