I recently developed my first (.CA) domain http://www.cwx.ca

The site contains information regarding Coastal Weather and Webcams for the British Columbian coast in Canada.

With one month of development it got DMOZ Listed, 120+ Backlinks and is averaging 120 uniques daily. And this is from a domain that has never previously been registered.

Alexa rank has not changed for the past 3 months (have no idea why)

http://www.dmoz.org/Regional/North_America/Canada/British_Columbia/Weather/
domain creation date : 2007/06/30

Anyways, my question is has anyone else had this oddity? I have developed many .coms with slow success (at the beginning) especially with DMOZ listing normally taking almost a year. Is it because of the key content and cctld domain? Any insight appreciated :tu:

Good to see more LLL.ca's being developed. I'm doing the same with an eye to the future.

Don't worry about Alexa - it's absolutely worthless. As for DMOZ - it's an old ladies club where rhyme and reason make no sense as to what is listed and when. I've known website owners who have become dmoz editors for the sole purpose of keeping down competition. That's been going on forever. If you get listed great, if you don't, life goes on. Personally I don't even bother with it anymore.

Wow, how did you get it in DMOZ so fast? :o

All original content? Or do you have some high traffic sources of your own? Love to learn more as I'm developing a geo related site on an almost obscure tld. :)
