i would love it if someone or many could clarify or even just share opinions or shed a bit of light on a few queries i had regarding country coded second level domains....for example .net.au and .org.au, and .net.nz and .org.nz.
queries be this: what are the primary advantages and disadvantages when comparing a countries lesser adopted second level domains like (eg .net.au or .org.au) and the .co or .com version ( primarily for company or corporation) (eg com.au or .co.nz). i am thinking of these pros or cons in terms of what effect they have on the adoption of the domain by end users and how they are perceived by public even.
maybe things like seo and ranking would come into it?, restrictions on the type of organisation you have to be in order to register a particular domain, branding potential, memorability, generic strong keyword????
