I've witnessed more new extensions lately, most gambling related, showing up than any previous month I can recall. This has both a positive and negative side to it, in my opinion.
The positive. - Congratulations to you guys that got "poker" or "casino" or "www". You managed to seek out and find the needles in the haystack. Those words seem to find buyers lately, regardless of extension. You will no doubt make a nice profit.
The negative. - The enormous registration and renewal fees on these extensions. I worry that people will get carried away and start registering less than stellar words. There are only so many words like poker, casino and sex. Unless you can get one of these ultra rare words, don't do it. You are better off in the mainstream namespace.
Yikes, AMAZING word(s) right there, but the problem is with selling, that is a high reg fee, so it may be tougher finding a buyer, but then again that is an amazing name, so then again, if you find the right person that is easily mid $X,XXX
