- Pro: There are 1 million people in the US named Carol

Cons:
- CarolsShop still available (didn't find out till after)
- Looks like people prefer Caroline for baby names now, although Carol is a short form
- Popularity of the baby name has gone from 20-30k per year in the 60's to sub 200 per year now
- Using the 200 most common female names in the US, only 89 are regged (____sstore .com)


Do I:
1) Drop
2) Sell Christmas carols on it (haha)
3) Double down and also reg CarolsShop

It is hard to decide. I usually stay away from too specific names like this one. They are hit-or-misses. Even though the chances for one of that 1 mill Carols contact you for it is very thin, if they really want it, you could demand a fancy price.

Don't drop it. Don't renew it either. Let's wait until it expires.

Or as you said sell Christmas carols on it.

I have never done it by myself. I believe that won't be a bad idea. And it will boost the chances like 10 times. But do some research first. There are so many things to consider. Like not being a spammer. Avoid using your primary personal email (May be it will get black listed). etc.
