When you read this about Edwin Capps, retired (disabiity) Army Ranger, and hear his story you'll understand why I reg'd CappsForVets.org.

https://issuu.com/ussgw/docs/washington_surveyor__24_mar_2017_

I intend to gift this domain to Capps for a non profit foundation he's starting for vets who have traumatic brain injuries like Eds. Ed has 18 holes in his brain from a truck explosion in Iraq in 2008.

I invited Ed and his service dog Tulip to speak to my Kiwanis Club last Thursday, and he brought the house down. He had grown adult men and women crying and laughing at the same time.

I'm not sure if something like this has any value, but it's pretty special to me, and I think it will be special to my new friend, Army Ranger Ed Capps. Here is Eds bio that I used to introduce him last Thursday;
Retired (disability) Army Ranger Edwin Capps Bio
Ed Capps was born in Virginia Beach in 1983. He was an All American wrestler and joined the all army wrestling team at 18 years old. He arrived at the Olympic training center to begin his Army wrestling career nine days before the terrorist attack on September 11, 2001. Refusing to allow other people to fight while he went to school and wrestled, Ed asked to be released from his contract. He was than given a Ranger contract, and after completing several schools and selections he was assigned to the 175 Ranger Bat where he would start his special operations career. Edwin is a Veteran of 5 combat deployments to Iraq and Afghanastan and was involved in over 350 combat missions including several high profile cases such as the Jessica Lynch rescue and was even portrayed in the movie “American Sniper”. He is the recipient of many rewards and citations including a Silver Star, a Bronze Star, and is currently pending a Purple Heart. He is now 100% disabled, retired, and trying to figure out how to stay awesome.
