Mogadishu is often in the press because of the political instability and conflict there. On the bad side, there's not as much internet penetration there and traffic from the developing world is worth very little.

Yes that is true. On the other hand i would pay a nice sum for any Capital + .info combination nowdays.

I don't think developing world users are completely valueless. I own a somalia geo-specific name, gandarshe dot com and it gets reasonable traffic/revenue, and has received a couple of private offers. For a name like this one though, in .info extension, there won't be any huge value until the name is developed, or until there is major redevlopment work to the city itself IMHO. Worth having, but not the most valueable city. High $xxx- low $xxxx would be about the best you'd get for it now I expect.

Thank you for the appraisals - rep added to both of you. I'm thinking of developement, as the competition for Mogadishu in Google is not so big, the .com is simply parked as an example.

I'm going to differ with some of you and say that it's worth low $xxxx, here's why:

This is a major port in the area - not important on its own until you combine that with its duty free status for all passing traffic. And that gives me at least one idea that raises the value of this domain. But it requires a small bit of development to get the $xxxx.
