Cantron, why have I never heard of it?

I was talking with my wife today about cancer treatments, and we all know of chemotherapy and how it treats cancer, but she mentioned another treatment called cantron, shes a biology/chemistry teacher and swears by it, she also says her doctor uses it as a preventative measure. The success rate from it seems to be outrageously high, even though no papers exist on testing the formula. There's so many hoaxes out there is this stuff the real deal and has just somehow slipped under the radar?
