I have a .CO domain registered with Godaddy, and trying to remove its existing DNSSEC (DS Records). This is a registrar setting, not entries in a DNS.

Has anyone seen a .CO domain fail to accept changes to DNSSEC requests? Godaddy cannot seem to figure it out, and suspect it's a problem with the .CO authoritative registry.

This is troubling because an invalid DNSSEC key can cause resolvers to fail to honor dns queries when DNSSEC validation fails.

Godaddy tech support was no help and offered to advice on how to proceed. They suggested contacting the .CO registry themselves, not sure who/how to contact.

This might help a bit:

As far as I know Neustar is owning (=being the registry of) and/or operating (being the backend provider of) the .CO TLD. Contact details here:
https://www.neustar.biz/about-us/contact-us

.CO as a gTLD is promoted through:
http://www.go.co/contact-us.php

.CO as a ccTLD is promoted through:
http://www.cointernet.com.co/administrador/contacto/

No sure if these three point to the exact same people or not, however, if you try them all starting with the first, you should be successful.

Good luck
