Can you guess how much traffic Kevin Ham's VANCOUVER.COM is getting daily? 10k? 20k?!

Lets see... Usually VANCOUVER.COM receives around a few thousand unique visitors per day but with the start of the 2010 olympics that number has increased quite a bit, no huge surprise really... Check out the geographic stats, demographics of the visitors, etc. All of the data is measured directly and as accurate as it gets. Enjoy!

It isn't that impressive. It peaked at only 22k the day after the opening ceremony and the way it was developed isn't going to keep people coming back even during the games.

20,000 for a heavily searched term?

Holy crap! That's failure defined!

He could have and should have done a lot more with that - not a great development for the money i'm sure he paid.

It sold for $123,000 in 2006.

The lackluster development and relatively low traffic considering the opportunity isn't a big surprise though. High end domainers are notoriously bad developers.

he leased it for 5 years prior to that at $50k/year

An example of being in the right place at the right time with the right domain. But, 85% one-time visitors = lots of room for improvement.

That makes a little more sense. The sales reporting sites don't put asterisks next to the prices.

There really isn't anything wrong with the site as a big city typein. I just think the ball was dropped as it being an Olympic city domain.

2010 link

At least he's got a link of the front page to some 2010 info. Decent site and some content. Affiliate links off the hotel section?
