So I had been making ideas so I can build more sites..

What if I was selling unique articles, domain name and resources to maintain sit in favor. Plus a unique logo and design.

What do you think, offer or auction?

of course, great idea, people are lapping this service up.

i'm not sure what you mean about auction... getting known for a certain fixed rate is probably the best idea. i'm having work done for $40 for a super basic version of what you describe (but you could offer a more tailored version)

maybe get going on some examples, which is the first thing people will want to see

soggy got it, but I am not exactly clear on what you are talking about. Can you explain your idea a bit more?

Yes, it's basically a package where you have the content, the domain name, potentially a logo, a mini business plan on how to implement the site and potentially a list of affiliate products to go with it.

I have a few packages that I can offer the community. I would ideally like to get more but you gotta start somewhere.

My more specific question is do I put that under the developed sites or since its not really developed. Do I put it under Domains, fixed pricing?

neither - you put it under

NamePros.Com > Marketplace :: Design & Development > Developers For Hire

either that, or make the site on your own domains and sell it as a total package. i'd say the better profit was in the first option, though.

I have thought about doing this with my brandable domains. Getting a logo+layout and offering them as a package with the domain. Though for me I'd sell them to rich end-users, domainers are too stingy

for my limited experience with it it's not easy. ebay is full of similar sites selling for $30, as most buyers are wise to it and want to see traffic stats.

you might have a brilliant end user plan though -- if so please give us a hint!

the keyword there is "uniqueness"
almost everyone claims they have unique idea,
writing unique articles works for me.
it's saleable make sure it's really unique which is impossible if used on the internet as a promotion tool.

as most buyers are wise to it

There is the key. Most. Not all. Just need to find those people who are not yet wise to it. Also if you see a logo+site+domain selling for $30 on eBay it is obviously not a great domain (or design or that matter). Also eBay is probably not the proper venue for this strategy.

I didn't mean taking a low end domain and giving it value so much as taking a higher end domain and increasing the chance to sell it at end user prices or adding some value to it.

CVCV.com's for instance. I own Z U J O .com. imo the end user value of this domain is mid x,xxx+. However if an end user with that budget saw the domain they might not immediately want to buy it. However if I make a slick logo and web 2.0 homepage design for it, and am able to pitch those end users on the product, I think I'll increase my chances of selling the name a great deal.

It is just another marketing strategy. Like the guy selling his one year old BMW who has it parked in front of his home, unwashed with a sign on it. Versus a guy with the same car who got it waxed and detailed and took out a color ad with a picture of a bikini model leaned up against it in the local newspaper. Which car will command a higher price and sell faster?

ymodo.com is my experiment with this strategy. in the very early stages yet but i'll be doing just this with all of the featured domains, and trying hard to get the site seen by those rich end users.

HI

I was going to do this but with a little more work..

I was going to get 10 articles written on a niche... and get a good domain for it, and find 2 good converting affiliate products for the site... then compile it all and add adsense to the site to..

Then I would submit the site to 1000 link directories and the 10 articles to 400-500 article directories... wait 1-2 months for everything to take off and then start selling the site for like 10x Plus monthly income...

Now I have done this for a few sites.. and they are making $1-3$ per day...

so I could sell them for $300 - $900 each

But then I thought if I sell them I would need to build new ones to replace them... so why not just keep them and make more sites the same and over 12 months plus I could have 20-30 sites making 1-3 or more per day... and sell anytime down the road..

What I need to do is out source this idea... :) and get more sites made...

it's better to keep an earner than convert to cash IMHO - assets lead to leisure, income to just more work once it's spent.

a few of us are on a similar page. there's a guy hoping to make 100 sites each earning $1 a day. i'm aiming for a (more humble) 80.

can we see (or PM) some of your $1 - $3 quick sites? love to take a look...

;)
