Hi people,

Just wondering what the deal is with the .TV domain names?

Are they like the .com names, will everyone want a piece of the action in the future?
Are their any regulations on the .TV names?
Can anyone get any name they please?

.tv is the ccTLD for Tuvalu. The domain name is popular because it is an abbreviation of the word TV. The domain is currently operated by "The .tv Corporation".

On December 14, 2006, VeriSign announced an alliance with Demand Media to market .tv as the preferred web address for rich media content.

Anyone can register a .tv name, there are no restrictions. Premium 3-character domains start from $500/year reg fee, & goes up to $450,000/year for the super premium names.

I have registered all my tvs for $29.99 with godaddy :td: but anyway I just stop registerering tvs looks like all good are gone. My last was chernobyl.tv IMO now is time to develop.
