Can I name a javascript text input Name?

I apologize if this is the wrong place to post. I don't see an explicit programming questions forum here, but I figure many people here would know the answer to this question and I'd rather not have to join an entire new forum just to ask it.

Can I name a javascript text input "Name" or would that cause issues with the DOM, etc.?

I believe you can call a text input name, so it should be fine.
