"CameraOp" is a shortened form of "CameraOperator", is used more frequently than camera operator, and is a common term in the motion picture and television industry. It is interchangeable w/, (and used almost as often as), "Cameraman", but is more task specific. Cameraman is a general term which encompasses "lighting cameraman" and "director of photography", whereas CameraOp defines the individual who specifically operates the camera.
This highly recognizable, industry specific term would attract advertisers involved in professional motion picture and video camera manufacturing and sales, (ie Panavision, Arriflex, Canon and Sony), as well as a multitude of camera support equip, (film, video tape, tripods, lenses, filters, battery packs etc), companies. A good deal of the informational content for the site could also be acquired from these same manufacturers. Edit .net tld taken .
